How do threadlifts work?
PDO threadlifts involve inserting dissolvable threads made of polydioxanone (PDO) into the skin using a thin needle. These threads act as a framework, supporting the skin and stimulating collagen production. Collagen is a protein that provides structure and elasticity to the skin. As the threads dissolve over time, the body naturally produces more collagen, resulting in firmer and more youthful-looking skin.
-
Which areas of the face can the threads target?
PDO threadlifts can target specific areas of the face, such as the brows, cheeks, and jawline, providing a non-surgical facelift effect.
-
Are threadlifts safe?
PDO threadlifts are considered to be a safe and effective non-surgical procedure for facial rejuvenation. PDO stands for polydioxanone, which is a biocompatible material that has been used in medical sutures for many years. Additionally, PDO threadlifts have a low risk of complications when performed by a trained professional.
-
Can you tell me more about the types of threads you use?
Monothreads are used for fine lines, lip lines, under the eyes, and for weak, or double, chins. Cog threads are used to lift skin folds to provide better structure and contouring. You’ll either have thin monothread administered, or the thicker cog threads. Both provide lift and stimulate collagen production.
-
Will the results be immediate?
You will see some results immediately, but the maximum results will be visible after 3-4 months.
-
How long will I retain my new look?
The effects of monothreads last for 7-9 months, while the effects of cog threads last for 12-15 months.
