How do anti-wrinkle injections work?
Line softening injections work by temporarily inhibiting the ability of treated facial muscles to contract, leading to a decrease in wrinkles and a more youthful appearance.
-
What can anti-wrinkle injections do for me?
These injections can reduce the tension in overactive muscles, helping our clients to look and feel more refreshed. Some people worry that they may appear angry, unapproachable, or even sad because of their relaxed muscles. By treating the affected areas, we can help clients who feel self-conscious about these areas without achieving the overly ‘treated’ appearance. We pride ourselves on subtlety and natural-looking results.
-
Are Anti-Wrinkle Injections safe?
Anti-wrinkle injections are safe when performed by qualified and trained medical professionals, such as the team at Pro Aesthetics. The treatment used is a medically regulated substance and therefore it can only legally be performed by medically trained hands.
-
Are anti-wrinkle injections the same as dermal fillers?
No, Botulinum toxin is not the same treatment as dermal fillers. Filler uses a substance created mostly from hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the skin that provides elasticity. Instead of treating the muscles to decrease wrinkles, dermal filler is injected into the tissue of the face or hands to improve skin volume, structure, bounce, and laxity, helping it look and feel fresher. It is often used in conjunction with anti-wrinkle injections.
-
When will I see my anti-wrinkle results?
You will notice the initial results at 3 to 5 days, and your final results may be fully visible after 14 days of treatment.
-
How long will the results last?
Due to individual differences in the way each person’s body metabolises the anti-wrinkle solution, the amount of time the results last will differ. Generally, you can anticipate 3 to 4 months of effectiveness before requiring a new treatment to maintain your Botox results.
