Will female clients look masculine with jawline filler?
No, our female clients will not receive a more masculine-looking jawline with this treatment unless we’re instructed to. Jawline filler, like all treatments at Pro Aesthetics, is not a one-size-fits-all procedure. The filler is tailored to the individual’s own facial balance, symmetry, structure, and their desired results. Sometimes, it is as much about placing small amounts in the right places to change the perspective of the lower face as it is adding recognisable structure.

Is jawline filler painful?
Your jaw filler injections may be a little uncomfortable, but we do everything we can to ensure they’re not painful. You can opt for a topical numbing cream, which will blunt the feeling of the injections, but you may still feel a scratch. Our practitioners take plenty of time during your appointment, so if you are nervous we will happily talk you through the procedure even as we’re performing it, giving you notice when each scratch is about to come.

Will jawline filler disappear on its own?
Yes, your jawline filler will naturally dissolve over time. This is because the temporary dermal fillers we use are made partially of hyaluronic acid, which naturally occurs in your body and is therefore broken down steadily. You metabolise this naturally, and the only way you know this is happening is gradual visual changes in your jawline over the coming months – you won’t feel a thing.

How long will my jaw filler results last?
Your results could last anywhere between 6 – 18 months, depending on your own constitution. Everyone’s body and metabolism is different, so this span differs from client to client, but as a rule of thumb you can expect the above.

Are my results immediately visible?
Yes! Your results will be immediately visible after treatment. We will show you with a handheld mirror afterwards. Shortly after the injections, you may experience swelling and redness, which is normal. This should settle after around 24 – 48 hours after treatment, and then you can enjoy your healed jawline and injection sites.

Will my jaw look too square?

No, jaw filler specifically places product under the skin to change its structure and shape. The Nefertiti neck lift, jaw slimming, and masseter injections are performed using line softening treatments with a prescription-only medication that is also used to treat fine lines and wrinkles.
