How does microneedling work?
Through the use of a handheld machine, tiny needles puncture the skin. This causes a response in the deeper layers of the dermis, with new skin cells and collagen being generated. The old, damaged tissue is cast off and replaced with a new layer of skin. This treatment is highly versatile, and is capable of treating a wide range of skin issues.
-
How big an area can this treatment target?
We only apply SkinPen needling to the whole face, not sections. It can also tackle acne scarring, stretchmarks, and back acne on the body. The treatment can be performed on various areas of the body, including the face, neck, décolletage, and hands.
-
What is the ideal number of treatments?
For optimum results, it is recommended to have a course of 3-4 treatments spaced 3-4 weeks apart. This method allows the skin to constantly be stimulated, thus increasing the duration of the treatment effects and providing optimal skin health. To further improve the results, a good skincare routine should be maintained.
